Patent and Trademark Office.Combining 18 years of software development, system integration, and manufacturing test industry experience, along with solid Patent Drafting and Patent Prosecution experience, Attorney Leonessa provides Patent Drafting, Patent Prosecution, and Trademark filing for solo inventors, and small to medium sized businesses interested in protecting their Intellectual Property assets. Lesley brings this deep technical experience and knowledge to the practice of Patent Law, along with a broad academic background (B.S. Electrical Engineering, M.S. Computer Science, MBA, JD). Lesley acquired 18 years of professional experience in software development, system integration and manufacturing testing prior to entering the field of Patent Law through work at companies such as Millipore, Polaroid, Honeywell, Stratus Computer, and EMC. Lesley specializes in prosecuting patents in the fields of software, computers, business methods, data communications, and mechanical devices as well as specializing in Trademark filings. Lesley holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Lowell, a Masters of Science degree in Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, a MBA from Northeastern University, and a Juris Doctor from Northeastern University School of Law. In addition to being licensed to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and being a member of the Massachusetts Bar, Lesley is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the Boston Patent Law Association, the Women’s Bar Association, and the Worcester County Bar Association. |
